We all have new year wishes and we start the new year with prayer.
They have these colorful candles that can only be purchased for P35 pesos. We pray a lot for Filipinos and have faith in God. We always say our thanks, blessings and even life’s problems, and we commit ourselves to prayer, which I believe is empowering. Colored candles have their meaning and symbolism when we pray. I have heard from centuries of tradition that Christianity, Buddhism, sects and other religions have used candles as their symbols to praise their gods. But now candle makers are using colored candles.

There are approximately thirteen (13) different colors in Simala Shrine, each with its own meaning. Here are the colors and their symbols:
(1) GOLD – Heal (health, recovery)
(2) Green – Prosperity
(3) Brown – Occupation
(4) Blue – perseverance (employment, career,)
(5) RED – Love (Friendship, Engagement, Family)
(6) BLACK – Soul (Forgiveness, Pardon)
(7) Yellow – Peace (Courage, Strength, Hope)
(8) Grey – Salvation (Wicked ways, things, spirits)

(10) Pink – Thanksgiving | Luck | Joy

So I bought these candles and I had to light five (candles). I bought black, gold, purple, red and green. Blake prays for the soul of our deceased family and my father. Gold award for therapy because I realized I needed therapy to get back a life that was worse before and prayed it would slowly get better. Violet For what I have achieved, I have always hoped and prayed that God would guide me in everything I did in my career and the decisions I made. RED This is the best part, so many people are buying this right now, but for me my prayers are not just about loving someone but loving family. Green, pray for success in life, as long as I work hard. These are my prayers and I believe it will be done, just believe in it.

What to wear?
Anything with sleeves, below the knee skirts/dresses, cleavage tops, plain clothes etc (see photo below). If suitable clothing is not available, a long skirt or cape can be rented outside the church for P20.

Found in the town of Sibonga, south of Cebu – the Monastery of the Eucharist is where the Marian monks lived. One of the main reasons they built these places was so that people could come to pray, supplicate and dedicate to the Virgin Mary.
As you’ll see in my photos below, many people from across the country (and the world!) come here to heal everything from minor physical ailments to being able to walk again and beat chronic ailments like cancer! Others come to pray, pass exams, graduate, and many other reasons. You can spend hours reading testimony.
The picture above (where people are kneeling) is a photo brought here by monks in Pampanga, showing the miracle at the height of the epidemic that killed many people in the community. The photo is thought to have shed “tears of blood”.
