Roy introduced Sherwin to his partner Wesley Rose, who led the careers of celebrities like the Everly Brothers, Roy Orbison and Hank Williams.
Sherwin has been awarded a long-term management, recording and songwriting contract. Sherwin soon appeared on numerous television shows and performed coast to coast with the support of the publicity arm of the Nashville Acuff-Rose Company. This led to Sherwin Linton’s name being nominated for Artist of the Year by the Country Music Association in 1972 and 1973. During the mid-1970s, Sherwin was also nominated for Entertainer of the Year and Male Artist of the Year by Music City News, the Academy of Country Music, and a number of other organizations and industry publications.
